Project Hope created this pocket toolkit to help you regulate stress in real time – especially in high-pressure moments like heavy traffic, long days, or emotional overwhelm.

This graph helps to put the emotional ups and downs of recovery into perspective. Everyone’s path is different, but you may find it reassuring to see that these highs and lows are part of a normal healing process after disaster.

Community, resilience and hope are the common themes that surround and unite those impacted by major disaster events, whether we have been directly affected by disaster, have friends and family that have been affected, or worked during a disaster as first responders or recovery workers. By sharing stories of hope and recovery, Strength After Disaster highlights the resilience of individuals and communities while providing a resource for other survivors and responders that may be trying to cope and move forward themselves.
