Outreach Calls

We would like to let you know that you may receive a call on behalf of the LA Region Community Recovery Organization www.laregionltrg.org to follow-up with you to discuss your current living situation and your thoughts toward your recovery journey and process. You probably remember us from the DRC (Disaster Recovery Center) or other resource events where we had a table and were doing intake for people who had been impacted by the fires.

Please note: if you miss a call from an unknown/unfamiliar number, please check your voicemail for a message from the team.

We might be able to provide you with some additional resources and information after we take some time to understand a bit more about your situation. The information we gather from you and from everyone we met will be immensely helpful - we can make referrals to our partners who may be able to help with long term recovery resources (materials, muscle, money). The call should take less than 30 minutes.

Los Angeles Public Library-Hosted Support Groups

The Los Angeles Public Library is hosting support groups for those impacted by the wildfires.  These groups are open to the public, please share the details in the linked document with survivors and affected neighbors. Support groups are held in the following branches:

-Will and Arieal Durant Branch Library

Neighborhood Legal Services of LA County (NLSLA) Services

Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity Workforce Program

Fire Recovery and Resilience Workforce Program

The Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity has opened the Fire Recovery and Resilience Workforce Program. The Fire Recovery and Resilience Workforce Program provides immediate hiring and training support for impacted and dislocated workers from the January 2025 windstorms and wildfires in partnership with DEO and the region’s America’s Job Centers of California. The goal of the Program is to ensure that all impacted workers have access to financial security in the early days of the emergency, career pathways that lead to new and better jobs, and opportunities to participate in the recovery and rebuild of our fire-impacted areas.

Small Business Administration Loan Deadline

Deadline: May 30, 2025 – submit your application before it’s too late!

The President's major disaster declaration for California, issued January 8, 2025, includes a 60-day Grace Period for filing physical loan applications due to the scale of the disaster.

• Applicants may call the SBA Customer Service Center with questions regarding their application at (800) 659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.

• For people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, please dial 7-1-1 to access telecommunications relay services.

American Red Cross - 2nd Round of Financial Assistance

The Red Cross has opened a second round of financial assistance to individuals and households that continue to experience barriers to recovery from the Palisades Fire or the Eaton Fire. Their Bridge program is designed to complement their long-term recovery process, which is all-encompassing and helps those impacted progress forward. Bridge financial assistance opened April 22nd, 2025.

Bridge Assistance eligibility: To be eligible for Bridge, clients must have homes located in the Palisades or Eaton Fire burn zones and continue to experience recovery roadblocks. Outreach is initially conducted with clients for whom the Red Cross has confirmed damage and contact information. Additional efforts will be made to reach impacted and eligible households through service sites and through community recovery partners.
